The Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Desislava Taneva participated in the opening of the leading exhibitions for the food and retail sector in Bulgaria - MEATMANIA, the WORLD of MILK, BULPEK, INTERFOOD & DRINK, SALON OF WINE, #RETAIL SHOW. The official ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 6, from 2 pm at the Inter Expo Center.
The opening event of the six forums also included: US and Italian ambassadors to Bulgaria - Mustafa Hero and Stefano Baldi, Atanas Urdzhanov (Chairman of the Board of the Meat Processing Association), Dimitar Zorov (Chairman of the Board of the Milk Processing Association), Kukusheva (Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Branch Union of Bakers and Pastry Makers), Stoiko Kirovski (Chair of the Board of the Union of Fruit and Vegetable Processors), Albena Simeonova (Chair of the Bulgarian Association of Organic Products) and the manager of Inter Expo Center - Ivaylo Ivanov.
#RETAIL SHOW – for the first time
The tendency for increasing the interest in the retail sector in the recent years creates preconditions and ambition in the organizers to expand the previously known format, by starting the first edition of the #RETAIL SHOW this year. Being focused on the modern needs of the food industry, the forum will be a focal point for the presentation of technologies in e-commerce, digital solutions and payment systems, POS software, store equipment and cooling systems, POP and POS marketing practices and products, security equipment, building space and design of stores, solutions for energy management. Specialized transport means, warehouse equipment and technologies for delivery process management will be in the focus.
USA, Italy, Russia, Serbia and Lebanon - with collective participation
The impressive forum engages the entire exhibition and congress capacity of the Inter Expo Center. The Embassy of the United States, Italy, Russia, Serbia and Lebanon are involved in collective participation. Among the individual participants we find companies from Austria, Turkey, Greece, Netherlands, Finland, Poland, Romania, Armenia, Hungary. Due to the positive results of the last participation, the areas of American participation are now significantly increased. The Italian collective participation is even larger.
Senses Without Borders – accompanying professional events and presentations
This year, the wine and the emotion it invokes with its presence will be under the spotlight. With a rich program of master classes and professional tasting, specialists and connoisseurs will have the opportunity not only to get information about the current products and trends in the sector, but also to immerse themselves in the variety of emotions that the presented wines inspire. The new event platform of Inter Expo Center "Senses Without Borders" will provide an opportunity for the guests of the exhibitions to be part of an exciting challenge of the senses in the form of a varied program of workshops, demonstrations and tasting of wines, chocolate, coffee and various gourmet foods, which the exhibitors at the Wine salon and Interfood & Drink will present this year.
Real business environment – opportunities for direct negotiation with international participants
The 2019 concept with the prepared new business and presentation zones transforms the WINE SALON into a significant trading platform for negotiation with customers, selected distributors, traders, experts in the industry. Buyers from Scandinavian countries, Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia are invited for business meetings with Bulgarian winemakers. The preparation of international participation from Italy, Hungary, USA, Russia, and India is underway. There is a serious interest in business visits from Montenegro, Kazakhstan, China, Jordan, Egypt, Vietnam.
Over 5 tons of chocolate
More than 5 tonnes of chocolate are already awaited by the connoisseurs of good taste who will enjoy it during the Senses Without Borders. A candy bar with over 5,000 candies with a variety of flavors, as well as a chocolate fountain for chocolate tapas are among the surprises prepared by the organizers.
Chocolate jewelry will be created by bloggers, vloggers and journalists - under the direction of Chief Pavel Pavlov. His masterclass will be held on November 7, jointly organized by the Inter Expo Center and Pastry Academy.
For the fourth year in a row the Bulgarian Barista Championship will be held, and for the second - the Late Art Championship. The International Pizza Championship will attract the public; for the first time in Bulgaria will be held qualification for the World Pizza Championship in Parma in 2020.
The highest quality and original products will be honored with the Gold Diploma with a Diploma; the National Prize Pack Contest will also be held.
The specialized seminar “Interior Design and Consumer Behavior in the Store” is aimed at the professionals. The event focuses on interior and product design, the relationship between store design, product packaging, merchandising, retail marketing and consumer behavior.From 6th to 9th of March at Inter Expo Center MEATMANIA, the WORLD of MILK, BULPEK, INTERFOOD & DRINK, SALON OF WINE, #RETAIL SHOW will bring together representatives of the agri-foods sector. With the changes and innovations that the organizers prepare this year, the exhibitions are expected to meet again the needs of the businesses, as well as to expand the potential for development of the sector, according to the ongoing processes and current trends in the industry.
